Morris Vermaport Lifts is proud to introduce the most ecologically friendly Motor Room-Less (MRL) traction passenger lift, the Ecocell®
The Ecocell® is the most eco friendly traction lift solution available within the UK and fully complies with the British Standard BS EN 81-1. We offer 2 models of the Ecocell®.

  1. A battery backup model that has a geared traction drive
  2. A battery backup model that has a gearless traction drive

Both these Ecocell® products are single phase and are built to ensure we can still provide a reliable traction passenger lift yet meet our customer’s energy saving needs.

Providing passenger lift performance you would expect from a traction passenger lift, the Ecocell® delivers reduced operational costs up to 10 times less than any conventional traction passenger lift and 12 times less that any conventional hydraulic passenger  lift.

Ecocell®

The Ecocell® model runs directly off the single phase supply, the batteries are charged individually and are only active in the event of a black out and will guarantee a sufficient supply to allow the lift to travel at least 80 trips under minimum load. 
The gearless motor has been designed to use only a power rating of 3.0kW from the mains supply which is equivalent to a small residential electrical component.
